A Guide to find your own perfume
Fragrance notes are simply the various layers of perfume that make up the final fragrance. They portray fragrances that can be detected when the scent is applied to the skin. Based on the scents that can be detected in various periods after the submission, they are divided into three groups and can be top notes, heart notes, and base notes.
Top Notes
Top notes are those smells that can be detected directly after the application of a perfume. Top notes are the lightest among all the notes and As a result of their lightness, top notes evaporate quickly. Typical top notes include citrus elements (bergamot, lemon, orange zest), light fruits (anise, berries, grapefruit) and fresh herbs (basil, sage, lavender).
Heart notes
Heart notes also called Middle Notes.Middle notes appear when top notes begin scattering. It makes 40-80% final fragrance.They make the significant smell of the fragrance along with the base notes and can be picked to cover the base smell that can at times be unpleasant toward the beginning.Heart Notes are not to be taken lightly. Usually, these notes are more mellow and will appear in the smell between two minutes and an hour after using the perfume. pine, cardamom, lavender, rosemary, juniper, chamomile, marjoram, nutmeg and even black pepper are the scent used
Base Notes
Base notes are long-lasting fragrance. If the top notes have completely evaporated, the base notes will start to shine through. Base notes alone compose 10-25 per cent of the final fragrance. To deepen the complexity of the fragrance, the base notes also mix with the heart notes. Myrrh, frankincense, rose, vanilla, ginger, clove, cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli and musk are used to get strong fragrance
FRAGRANCE
The first step to discovering your favourite fragrance is to recognize the various families of scents that each perfume has.
- Oriental
Oriental fragrance is rich among all the family and scent change from floral oriental, soft oriental and woody oriental.it is warm, sweet and little spicy. Perfume is made usually of cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla alongside the likes of jasmine, orchid and orange blossom.
- Musk:
This may sound like a college wrestler's underwashed armpit, but musk is really a clean-laundry smell.
- Smoky:
It can smell like a burning campfire, cedar chips that are fragrant, or a blown-out match.
- Citrus:
grapes, lime, lemon., it also feels a bit like a spa with a pleasant yoga studio
- Woody:
These fragrances can go from a velvety nutty flavour (like pralines-and-cream frozen yoghurt) to sandalwood, to zesty and moist like a musky old wardrobe (patchouli), to an old No. 2 pencils (cedarwood).
- Green:
Includes the pasty lingering flavour of a wheatgrass shot just as dewy greenery on a spring morning.
- Floral
floral fragrances family having the scent of sweet and flowery such as roses, jasmine, lilies and peonies.
Different Types of perfumes
Mixing perfume oil with alcohol produces fragrances; the more perfume oil, the better the scent, and the longer it will last.
- Eau de Parfum (EDP)
One of the strongest one. Eau de Parfum is a common option for both perfume brands and consumers and contains between 10-20 per cent perfume oil. Generally speaking, Eau de Parfum will last about 8 hours.
- Eau de Toilette (EDT)
It contains approximately 5-15 per cent perfume oil. Before fading, Eau de Toilette fragrances also have a quick burst of beautiful smells; that means they can make a great first impression. These fragrances will usually last somewhere between 4 and 7 hours.
- Eau de Cologne
It is a much lighter choice than the two previous ones. Eau de Cologne has only around 2-4% perfume oil and is mostly used to freshen up at regular intervals as a body splash. Eau de Cologne does not last long; maybe around 2-3 hours.
